2. The heart is deceitful and desperately wicked- Jer.17:9
3. The mind and conscience is defiled- Titus1 :5
3. The will enslaved- Rom.7: 18
4. The depravity or the root of sin in man is variously referred to as
"the old man" Rom.6:6; Eph.4:22; Col.3:9
the body of sin" Rom.6:6; Col.2: 11
"sin that dwelleth in me" Rom.7: 17
"the body of death" Rom.7:24
"the carnal mind" Rom.8:7
"filthiness" 2Con.7:1

5. Consequently, SIN is viewed as
a dominating tyrant-Rom.7:14-20

Here then is our problem: sin is first inherited before it is committed!
