TEXT 2 Cor. 6:14-18

4. YOU WILL NO MORE BE A FRIEND OF THE WORLD:
The fourth evidence of the new
birth is that you will start cutting off from all worldly friendships and companions, so that it will
not lead you or take you back to sin, because friendship of the world is enmity with God.
The
Bible says

You will not be keeping unbelievers as friends anymore, you will have to*
change your ungodly friends and start choosing godly and holy
Christians that can help your Christian faith as your new friends.
WORLDLINESS
You will deliberately separate yourself from every worldly relationship, you will stop keeping
any kind of boy friends if you are a girl or a lady, and stop keeping any girlfriend if you are boy or
man.
You will stop every form of lust of the flesh; fornication, adultery, lesbianism,
homosexuality, stop lust of the eyes, stop watching pornography, romantic films or magazines,
that is films or books that involves people advertising the shape of their body, their nakedness,
kissing, romace or making love.
You will stop every form of secret sin you think nobody knows
about like masturbation, or bestiality, stealing. dishonest gains etc.
I Cor 6:9-10
Worldliness is an organized scheme of humankind that uses our flesh (i.e., sin nature) to draw us away
from an intimate relationship with God. Heb. 11:24-27
As believers we are in the world but we are not of
the world.
Worldliness pollutes. Compromise is evil. The believer who has made heaven his goal should
steer clear from worldliness in its various forms and shades.

world draws the soul away from God. We cannot indulge in the passion and pursuit of the world until we
first backslide and set our will against God's will.
Worldly appetites soon become over driving and
uncontrollable once the Christian permits the first taste or manifestation.
Then he discovers that his
thoughts, desires and actions are in constant digression from God. The friendships and clubs of the world
draw us farther and farther away from God.
The Worldly Music: Copying of worldly Iyrics, worldly drum beats, worldly instrumentations and
rhythms, worldly dances, worldly pattern of songs etc. The worldly Jobs; Trading on Jewries, cosmetics,
attachments, weave-on, women trousers, worldly clothing, alcohols, cigarette, working with brewery
elc.
The worldly associations; Clubs, parties, age groups, masquerades, Kegites etc.
The worldly
celebrations; Valentine, carnivals, Christmas, Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day, etc. WVorldly
Speeches:
Worldly Conversations, worldly slogans, nick names, foolish jokes, jestings.
