I hope you all are doing good and safe in this pendamic scenario!
First of all I thank IRA Blogging for giving me an opportunity to write and help you all to guide you for first flight journey!
When you are thinking of travelling and saving time then you must opt for Flights, but most of us are unaware about how to go ahead for travel by air at very first time. So here is my article in simple language to help you out in this.
The very first step is planning- where, when, and how many people traveling ?? So book the flight tickets accordingly and before booking dont forget to check the comparison of prices on more than 3 to 4 different websites. Once you have done with bookings keep the tickets with you because you have to show the tickets and any one photo I'd at entrance of airport (passport for international journey).
You have 2 different options for checking in web checkin and Counter checkin (I would recommend the web checkin) once you have done with this this will help you to reach airport 1 hour before flight otherwise you have to be at airport atleast 2 hours before flight time. Even if you have done web checkin you have to submit your luggage at Airline counter only. While checking-In the luggage dont forget to ask the airline staff to allot you the desired seat (you can ask for window seat to staff at this point only)or else they will issue you system allotted seat.
Once you have given luggage to airline staff then you are now free to proceed to security check and respective gate of flight departure(gate number is always mentioned on boarding pass).
When you go to security checkin you have to follow all the guidelines and cooperate with Security people. (Immigration process will be additional for international journey).
Once you are done with Security check and immigration (for international travellers). Then you can proceed to gate or you can enjoy the services available at airport (some airlines offers lounges also).
Once your flight is ready at gate then the airline will start boarding procedure. Once you are boarded to flight you can check for your seat mentioned on boarding pass and occupy the seat.
Then follow the instructions of Cabin Crew Through out journey and enjoy the flight. Some airlines provides meal also.
Once you landed at destination then the cabin crew will share you the belt number for collection of luggage. You can collect the luggage from belt and proceed to home or next destination.
